Leighton Meester, performing and hosting the Y-100 Jingle Ball in Miami over the weekend.

Concertgoers tell us the Gossip Girl star had no faults in the looks department, but performance-wise had trouble getting the crowd going.

“Leighton was rocking some tight, dark denim and a cute white blazer-type top and some heavy-but-sexy, dark eye makeup (Taylor Momsen should take note). But she definitely wasn’t rocking the crowd.”
So was her hosting better than her singing?

We’re told that Meester performed first, and after having problems engaging the audience, she later had problems engaging herself.

“She later came back on stage to introduce Timbaland, but she could barely muster any excitement.”

Oh well, Leighton, it’s tough being a slashy in this town. Even J.Lo can’t pull off being an actress-singer anymore. Or could she ever?

Shakira, putting on a “taut” show we’re told.

Shaki donned a strapless, glittery minidress, her staple nowadays, and totally rocked her hips and the crowd while she was on stage.

“She showed everyone why she has the best core in the business,” our music spy tells us.

Meanwhile, up the coast a bit…

Blair Underwood, on campus at Harvard University recently. He attended a Christmas concert at the school, and students tell us he was “so gracious” to fans.

Even tho Blair was probably ready to hightail it out of college town, he made time to give autographs and pose for photos with everyone who approached him.

Oh, and FYI, our campus spy tells us that Blair was as “sexy as ever.”

Also, the guy recently helped launch the AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s Blair Underwood Clinic, an HIV/AIDS treatment clinic in D.C.

Jeez, is it the Twilight Zone (or opposite, actually) here at the A.T. recently? Or maybe it’s the holiday spirit, but everyone is being so friggin’ good lately.
