LEIGHTON Meester says music makes her feel sexy.

The Gossip Girl star — whose self-titled debut album is due to to hit shelves in 2010 — has revealed singing brings out a different part of her personality and it makes her feel raunchier.

“My music brings out a whole other side of me, an alter ego, and I love it,” she says. “I feel sexier and more ‘me’. You do not really get that when you play a character.”

Meester, 23, recently revealed that she doesn’t like not having a boyfriend and that her new single, Somebody to Love, is all about her personal experience with love.“It is about what’s going on in my life and I think everyone can relate to it,” she said. “It’s about being crazy, busy, young and running round and it is really, really hard to find somebody to love.

“People love you but you don’t really love them. It’s about that struggle of finding someone.”
