Archive for May, 2009I’ve updated Leighton’s Cosmopolitan Magazine cover shoot video. Leighton Meester might be the queen bee on “Gossip Girl,” but she’s just getting her start when it comes to the music industry. The actress/singer, who will release her debut album later this year on Universal, took some time out from shooting Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls” music video to talk about the positive reviews she’s getting for the leaked song “Birthday.” “I was working with really cool people on it. … It’s a really fun, great song,” she said. “I am very happy with the reactions, and I love it, but there’s a lot of other stuff that I’m really happy with that is not being leaked at the moment but will come out later on this year that I’m really stoked about.” I’ve uploaded new high quality candids of Leighton & Sebastian leaving Katsuya on April 30, 2009. GALLERY LINK: I’ve uploaded new filming photos of Leighton onlocation of her new movie, The Roommate on May 1, 2009 which schedule to be in cinema on year 2010. GALLERY LINK: As you can see in the sneak peek below from Monday’s Gossip Girl, Nate wants a commitment from Blair, but Blair just wants to be with her BFF Serena. What to do? Hint to Blair: Do not move in with your boyfriend at 18, dummy! Click in for another sneak peek of “The Wrath of Con.” Meester offered us an exclusive listen to three of the album’s potential tracks. “Push and Pull” is an elegant anthem about making a relationship work; she says the song “takes my breath away.” On “Almost Perfect,” she takes a break from electro-pop for a stripped-down ballad lamenting a lover’s lies. The song ends with Meester bluntly spitting, “F— you.” “That was what we call an adlib,” she says. Then there’s the pulsing “Lights Out,” produced by J.R. Rotem (Britney Spears), which has her singing very un-CW things like, “Don’t turn the lights out/I bet you like to watch.” Meester plays coy when it comes to the subject matter. “Who knows what I’m talking about? Everything is kinda in metaphors.” Maybe, we ask, she simply wants someone to spoon with? “Or fork.” Even so, “there is somewhat of a sexual undertone to a lot of songs,” she says. “I’m a grown woman [laughs].” • Read full story… I have uploaded new event photos of Leighton at Star Trek Los Angeles Premiere on April 30, 2009.
