I’ve uploaded some new filming images of Leighton onlocation of her new upcoming movie, Date Night, schedule to be in theatre on 2010.

“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester flashed a smile as she arrived on the set of  “Date Night,” filming on location in Pasadena, CA. Leighton plays the baby sitter for married couple Steve Carell and Tina Fey.

Earlier this week, we reported that Cobra Starship are working with “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi on their new album. Well, now it turns out that they’re working with another prime-time star: Leighton Meester from “Gossip Girl.”
On Thursday, Cobra frontman Gabe Saporta, DioGuardi and Meester — who debuted a song called “Birthday” last week — spent time in a Los Angeles studio working on a remix of a song called “I Make Good Girls Go Bad,” which Saporta and DioGuardi had originally written for CS’s new album. • Read full story…

“Twilight” villain Cam Gigandet has been cast opposite Leighton Meester in Screen Gems’ “The Roommate.”

Psychological thriller centers on a deranged college freshman who becomes obsessed with her new roommate. Gigandet will play the boyfriend of Meester’s character.

Christian E. Christiansen is helming from a Sonny Mallhi screenplay. Roy Lee and Doug Davison will produce “Roommate” through their Vertigo Entertainment banner.

Screen Gems is eyeing a May start date.

Gigandet’s credits include “The Unborn” and “Never Back Down.”

THE SKINNY: Steve Carell and Tina Fey’s DATE NIGHT never stood a chance.

Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji P. Henson, and Kristen Wiig are the latest to be joining in the festivities. They will all be playing various characters who ruin a routine date night for a married couple.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM helmer Shawn Levy is directing from a script by Josh Klausner. Levy is also set to produce with Tom McNulty.
