(S02E17) “When the truth fails you, you have no choice but to abandon it.” – Blair

Since this Gossip Girl episode is the only new installment we will see this month, the show went on hiatus (yes, already), with a bang. Not only did Chuck discover that his father was part of a secret society, but Blair did one of the most awful things she has done thus far. Oh, and there was that Serena and Dan development that almost made me applaud at the end of the episode!

Let me tackle the Dan and Serena relationship development first. I’ll resume my thoughts on the subject in one word: finally! The “Gossip Girl” cast misbehaved for real the other night when they apparently forgot to pay a $500 bar tab. Stars of the show hit up Brother Jimmy’s on Eighth Avenue Thursday after the Kings of Leon concert at Madison Square Garden and “held an impromptu party in the private room upstairs,” according to a source.

Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick were there until 2 a.m., playing “flip cup” as Crawford got behind the bar pouring shots for girls. • Read full story…

Did the stars of “Gossip Girl” really walk out on a $500 tab at a New York City hotspot?

According to Page Six, that’s true. The NY Post dished that everyone’s favorite Upper East Siders — including actors Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick — partied it up at Brother Jimmy’s in Manhattan after a Kings of Leon concert. They “held an impromptu party in the private room upstairs,” revealed a source. “Nobody ever paid the $500 bar tab the group racked up.”

Reps for “Gossip Girl” and Brother Jimmy’s did not return calls from the newspaper.
