Wow some of you are just down right mean and getting incredibly out of line over a freaking layout! For the record I didn’t leave the comment as “Becky” (check the damn IPs), since we’re getting bashed here I felt I had a right to say something. I’m sorry for the poor girl who got bashed for noting the similarities between a design I did and Angelic’s – some people tend to be too afraid to do that for fear of this blacklash like this, clearly with good reason. Like mentioned above, there are fads with fan site layouts that come and go and they are copied/borrowed all the time. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t sting a bit … at first. I would even go as far as saying Angelic feels/felt the same originally from time to time as a super popular webmaster, a lot of her ideas (which she either came up with or at least made popular whatever the argument) get reproduced – Yes she did use to blacklist people who copied ideas she claimed to come up with (again or make popular, what have you), so you can definitely say she used to get upset, but she has sence stopped. Maybe know, like me, she realizes it does no good or doesn’t care, whatever. I’ll admit, really there are really NO original ideas anymore – if you dig hard enough you can probably find it first somewhere first, with anything – intentional or not! It’s definitely fact of the small fan sites world now days it’s just gonna happen, so I’ve recently just made peace with it and let these things go. All designs should do this because really if you ever like something, it will be impossible to shake that idea! If I was this “bitchy” Becky comment, I would have posted on my own site and let visitors be the judge. But really that doesn’t do shit but start these stupid ‘internet wars’ and bullies. And While yes I can say I see little things I have in my own layout (like the amove mentioned city scene – hell I actually got a comment on my site a month ago on someone saying it reminded them of Gossip Girl – go figure! but in reality I was inspired by the shoot itself as there is a cityscape) but what I also see is additional touches by Angelic and a really beautiful layout in general. I would personally classify a “total rip-off” if she had literally used my graphics/coding/css etc and just slapped Leighton’s pretty face on Amber’s spot – but as you can clearly see that didn’t happen. It has happened, to myself and to others. There was this drama a while ago with Teresa Palmer Fan and Xtina that I *thought* had passed. What I don’t understand is why Angelic get’s so angry and defensive about every little thing she came up always :/ and Grace, the maintainer of this site got totally mean about it to this visitor. It’s really not nice, and there is no reason to be *so* mean – people get too caught up with the layouts and designs – this is a place for Leighton fans and you’ve just probably alienated this Becky lady for allowing such negativity to continue to go on.

Whatever the idea, whoever it was Angelic’s/Mine or Madonna’s – people just need to give up on the copycat shit and getting so damn defensive and mean about, it’s tiring and adolescent. Let it go. Enjoy the site. Enjoy Leighton! Ahh.

And before someone goes and make a snarky comment that I am “stalking” or something – I actually visit this site as I’m a fan of Leighton’s. I probably wouldn’t have even of commented about noted similarities except to say “Nice layout” if people hadn’t been so rude to myself and Becky.

Thanks Mycah for clearing this mess up, I certainly has to agree with you on the layout and graphics since both of us are webmaster and designer, glad that you came across Grace & My site on Leighton, didn’t know you do like Leighton and been a frequent visitor to my site. And of course I would like to apologise on behalf of Grace cause she didn’t did the layout as I made this specially for her as I’m part of the team of Leighton Meester Daily. The whole layout concept was indeed inspired by Gossip Girl posters & theme as Leighton was on Gossip Girl and I would really like to do something different from my other layouts. Hope you got this straight.

As in a matter of a fact, I don’t think that I’m defensive at all, as those matters are not on my top priorities . Life leads first then internet.

You have said that I’ve once blacklisted other people sites of copying the same elements as on my site, which was a rip off as the webmaster herself/himself admitted through the mail that they were doing it, but yet denied to take off or credit my site. That was a long time ago which I think its kind off plain stupid since no matter what you do, other people besides them are still doing the same thing or who will also have the same idea coincidently.

Lastly, thanks for leaving a comment on this site & clearing things out
